I've been talking to Dr Sayeed Khan, chief medical adviser at the EEF wgho is on one of the committees shaping the notes. He reckons GPs will not be asked to recommend on the type of work people can do, just the type of activities. He reckons it'll be a series of tick boxes saying people can r can't conentrate for long periods or can or can't sit down. The armed with that knowledge it'll be up to the employer to decide and risk assess the work the employee could do.
