News | HSW
01.02.2007

Lord McKenzie of Luton was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary (Lords) at the Department for Work and Pensions on 9 January, replacing Lord Hunt of Kings Heath in the role of health and safety minister. Lord McKenzie was formerly a partner in accountants Price Waterhouse in the Far East and unsuccessfully contested the Luton South constituency for Labour in the 1987 and 1992 elections. Lord Hunt, who had filled the safety role since May 1995, has moved to the Department of Health.
