Builders' stress

News | HSW
01.08.2006

Two out of three construction professionals claim they have experienced stress, anxiety or depression in the past 12 months according to a survey by the Chartered Institute of Building. Almost 1,000 people took part in the survey, which also found that only half of respondents felt their organisations tackled workplace mental health issues adequately. The most commonly cited causes of stress were "too much work", "pressure" and "ambitious deadlines". See the feature on stress risk assessment for more information.
