EU launches accident plan

News | HSW
01.02.2007

The European Commission is launching an action plan to get EU states to work together on reducing accidents. The action plan will create an EU Injury Information System to identify the scale of the problem, groups at risk and risk determinants; support exchange of good practice in accident prevention; promote safety training for professional groups, such as teachers, welfare workers, architects and sales staff; and support preparation of national accident reduction plans and public information campaigns.
