ECJ raps government over rest breaks guidance

The European Court of Justice (ECJ) has ruled that the UK government was breaking the law by not obliging employers to safeguard workers' legal rest breaks.
Since the ruling, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) has amended its guidance to take account of the judges' comments.
