Re: Fire risk assessments
While there are persons present in the premises, there should be an up-to-date risk assessment in place.
There is a joint responsibility − for the owner to inform the occupier/suppliers of the services of the physical arrangements in place for safe evacuation, and for the occupier to perform a risk assessment to ensure the safety of its operations and staff.
Both fire risk assessments and/or relevant risk assessments should be shared with each other to ensure conformity and compliance.

Under the fire reform order, is there still a requirement to undertake a fire risk assessment for an unoccupied building if the building is subcontracted and there is security present? If yes, is the responsibility transferred to the guarding company as sole occupiers?
