A new set of competencies to help line management prevent and reduce stress at work have been issued jointly by the HSE and the Chartered Institute of Personnnel and Development.

The  competencies (available free at www.hse.gov.uk/stress/competencyframework.pdf) define management behaviours that support the HSE's  Stress Management Standards.
