New ladder exchange planned

News | HSP
09.07.2008

The HSE has announced that a new ladder exchange initiative will run this autumn.

Ladder Exchange 2008 will highlight the risks of using a substandard ladder and offer employers the opportunity to exchange dodgy ladders for new ones at a discounted price.

Local authority enforcement officers will check ladders as part of their routine inspections and may remove defective ones.

The initiative will begin in September. More information is available on the HSE website.
