TUC's Myth-buster

News | HSW
01.12.2006

The TUC has published a new report looking at the truth behind some of the media's favourite safety scare stories, with "Health and safety regulations ban ladders" topping the list. Other popular myths dispelled - or at least clarified - by the TUC include hard hats for trapeze artists and four-figure sums to change lightbulbs. A handy resource for embattled safety practitioners, Health and Safety Myths: The Truth Behind the Headlines is available at www.tuc.org.uk/h_and_s/tuc-12556-f0.cfm
