HSE spot checks close 10 sites
News | HSP
13.02.2008
Unannounced safety inspections to refurbishment sites in Aberdeen have so far resulted in 10 closures.
Of the 11 sites so far visited by the HSE, all but one of them have been forced to stop work due to "bad and dangerous" working practices.
The governing body announced recently that throughout February it aims to inspect 1,000 refurbishment sites across Great Britain to tackle poor safety standards (see HSE on the spot).
