Smoking ban due on 1 July

The government has announced that legislation to make all enclosed public places and workplaces in England smoke-free will come into force on 1 July 2007. After this date it will be illegal to smoke, or allow smoking, in any workplace. Similar bans start in Wales on 2 April and Northern Ireland on 30 April.
