A landlord has been fined £15,000 and ordered to do 200 hours' community work after fire brigade officers attending a small fire at his Manchester flats found a broken alarm, faulty fire doors and defective emergency lights.
Stephen Evans pleaded guilty to failing to ensure the safety
of residents.
