HSE updates stress analysis tool
Jocelyn Dorrell | News | HSP

The HSE has made various improvements to its stress analysis tool for employers, including new benchmarking options and a revised user manual.
The revised version of the stress analysis tool gives employers the option of benchmarking their performance against data drawn from both public and private-sector organisations. Alternatively, employers can use the existing data, which comes from the 2004 Psychosocial Working Conditions survey.
The HSE recommends that before using the tool, users read the updated guidance manual, which explains the two data sets and the tool's functions and limitations.
The new tool can be downloaded on the HSE website.
The focus of this year's National Stress Awareness Day, which took place earlier this month, was "Don't worry... take action!". For advice on how to reduce worry and resolve problems dynamically, visit the campaign website.
