HSE publishes workplace transport checklist
News | HSP
08.09.2008
The HSE has produced a workplace transport checklist for employers to print off and use during site inspections.
The executive says the checklist won't be comprehensive for all situations, but will help employers reduce the risks from vehicles in their workplaces.
The checklist consists of a series of yes/no questions grouped in areas such as management and supervision, traffic routes, vehicle maintenance, loading and unloading operations, and driver competence.
The site inspection checklist is accompanied by guidance in the form of frequently asked questions and sources of further information.
The checklist and guidance can be accessed here.
