Quarry COSHH fine

Border Stone Quarrying has been fined £6,000 plus £7,602 costs for breaching the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations for failing to protect workers from breathing in crystalline silica, after a routine HSE inspection revealed an employee had contracted silicosis.
