Re: Lifting slings and forklift trucks
This lifting operation is not a recommended method of lifting; however, we are aware that it does occur quite frequently within industry. Risks to consider include:
? sharp corner of fork damaging sling
? sling slipping, premature sling wear
? trapping and snatching.
Should you wish, you can purchase purpose-made hooks to fit as an attachment to your forklift truck forks − which have clamping arrangements. These should have been tested to the relevant standards by the supplier.
