Health review

News | HSW
01.05.2007

The Department for Work and Pensions and the Department of Health have commissioned a detailed review of the health of the UK's working population. The review will be carried out by Professor Carol Black, national director for health and work.

Announcing the review at the IOSH 07 conference at the end of March (see IOSH 07: Health Matters), secretary of state for work and pensions John Hutton said the information would serve as a benchmark against which to measure effects of the government's Health, Work and Wellbeing Strategy, and that it should become an annual exercise.
