Re: Risk assessments
Risk assessments need to be undertaken and measures to control any significant risks from both the activities, and also the event itself (ie crowd control, alcohol consumption, etc) would need to be put in place.
Without full knowledge of the scenario and events taking place, we are unable to advise specifically. However, the Home Office provides a detailed guide to holding these types of events.
The guidance includes all the information you need on risk assessments and a template version of the approved risk assessment for this type of event.
It is available at www.police.homeoffice.gov.uk/news-and-publications/publication/operational-policing/event-safety-guide.pdf?view=Binary

Risk assessments
Added: 11:27 07.09.2007
My company is having a family fun day within the local community. This includes various stalls and activities, craft stalls, face painting, fire service activity and so on. The aim of the fun day is to increase friendships between residents and children, but to also improve positive relationships with your local community. The focus, however, is primarily to get together with your local community and have lots of fun. Can anyone advise me on the levels and types of risk assessment which may be required to cover our organisations needs along with a suitable template?
