What hangover?

News | HSW
01.06.2006

Nearly two-thirds of British workers would rather struggle into work with a hangover than take the day off sick, according to a survey by online recruiters Monster. And only one in four respondents said they had taken a day off "several times" because of hangovers. Monster suggests an increasingly competitive workplace and the financial incentives for attendance offered by some organisations, rather than basic morality, as reasons for staff turning up at work after a night out.
