Leadership checklist published

News | HSP
26.09.2008

The HSE has published a checklist for directors and governors on health and safety leadership.

The list of 10 questions is designed to help directors assess how well they are leading health and safety in their organisations and highlight areas for attention.

Questions include "What do you do to ensure appropriate board-level review of health and safety?" and "What information does the board receive regularly about health and safety - for example, performance data and reports on injuries and work-related ill health?"

The checklist is part of the HSE's leadership website, which contains guidance, case studies of successful leadership and examples of the possible consequences of poor leadership.

The new leadership checklist can be accessed here.
